RAVE
When I started my blog a short time ago, I never realized it would have a hand in making such a huge change in my life.
While Blog hopping, which is what I call it when I hit the "next blog" button. I found a blog by a young lady that was attempting a program called "Couch to 5k". I was intrigued so I looked the program up. One of the key things she made a point of saying was "I am not a runner". I could completely relate. I flunked P.E. back in 7th grade because I couldn't run cross country in the time they required. And since I was already failing because of my extended time in doing what I could, I quit and simply walked the course. So when I say I am also not a runner....I am not kidding.
With in days of reading her blog...I was curious enough about the program to start it myself. I had literally found myself perched on the couch more hours than I really want to admit. So I decided to go for it! The program "Couch to 5k" states that if you follow their simple routines over the course of 9 weeks you will become a runner, running a 5k in 30min. The "time" part didn't interest me that much (I did just turn 50, I am not in that big of hurry to get anywhere these day) however, the becoming a runner part sparked a huge interest.
Me?...a runner?...Not possible. Next to the list of accomplishements of my life I never imagined the word "runner" being added.
I just completed week 4. To say that I am proud of myself would be a huge understatement. This last week was a huge turning point for me, I can now actually see the finishline in sight. I really am going to be able to complete this program. And what is even more astounding is that I am excited about it and have every plan to continue after the program finishes.
Another key point in all this is that I told my best friend about what I was attempting...and she is now doing the program. My oldest daughter came to visit during my week 2 and saw me in action...and she is now on week 2 of her own. Really neat stuff.
A Good Find indeed!
Rant-The Bad (I will try to keep these to a minimum)
Rave-The Good (I hope to fill pages of these.)
Peace-Things that bring me comfort.
Praise-Things that I am grateful for.
I will also include Just General, for everyday things that do not necessarily fall into the above categories.
And a Craft category, for posting some of my craft projects.

No worse for wear..
RAVE
So turning 50 wasn't all that big of deal after all. I had a lovely day with my family. It really was just another day in the journey of life. Seriously I don't know what the big fuss is all about. The way people make such a big deal about it, it is like the earth is going to open up and swallow you or something.
Nothing like that happened at all...we did get a pretty nasty thunder and lightening storm just before it was time to go to dinner, forcing us to eat in instead, but it all turned out just fine.
50 and fabulous that is how I feel now.

50 Today
That is correct I turned 50 years old today...I am still not sure how I feel about that. So until I do I won't be labeling this post. I am secretly hoping it will be a RAVE day. Time will tell I guess...just have to see how the day unfolds.
